The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) has rolled out the final version of the Guidelines for Examination of Computer-Related Inventions (CRI), 2025. These CRI guidelines are a significant step towards offering clarity to streamline the examination process with the evolving CRI related inventions & Next-Gen innovations. Progressively, multiple relevant case laws and courts findings have been considered along with the definitions of the much needed terminologies.
